Let me introduce myself
I’m Peter Pergola & my family has owned and operated Pier 1.7 Cafe Since 2003. Within this time, the cafe has blossomed into a popular oasis where clay top tables with umbrellas are surrounded by tropical foliage mimicking an island setting. This oasis is where many locals love to meet and eat (pets welcome). Ninety percent of our business consists of regulars who frequent the cafe 5 to 7 times a week.

Credit goes to our excellent dedicated staff and chefs who have created some very distinctive and unique dishes. We have been blessed with honest, hardworking and caring individuals who adhere to the high standards of our operation. Their friendly smiles and strong customer service attribute to the great success of the cafe. Many have been with us since the beginning.
Catering is one of the hidden culinary secrets of our cafe and we can cater your private functions either on or off the premises. We also cater to community groups, local schools and businesses. Our chefs and my talented wife, Angela, utilize all their culinary skills to customize any catering to your tastes, themes and preferences with a personal touch.
I have extensive experience in food service and bring all my talents to the cafe. I owned and operated Rocky Point Food Service for 10 years in Tampa as well as held several directorships in high profile establishments such as the Museum of Natural History, the Met Museum, the Metropolitan Opera House and United Nations. As well as management postiions at Maxwell’s Plum, Tavern on the Green, Top of the Park and the Sign of the Dove Group – Yellow Fingers, Contrapunto and Arizona 206…..
But I have to admit, I have found the cafe gives me more pleasure and what I am most passionate about!
